|Mr. Eisinger's federal practice focuses on managing and mitigating risks for clients
in the areas of computer and network security and data privacy. His practice includes civil
litigation, criminal defense, appellate litigation, negotiation and mediation, and training.
Previously, as an Assistant United States Attorney in the CyberCrime Section of the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, Mr. Eisinger's work included the investigation and prosecution of fraud offenses, including: wire fraud, mail fraud, credit-card fraud, identity theft, and money laundering; and computer crimes, including: phishing, spam, denial-of-service attacks, botnets, computer intrusions, data breaches, online harassment and stalking, and offenses against minors. Mr. Eisinger prosecuted dozens of cases including multiple trials ranging from misdemeanors to fraud cases involving hundreds of thousands to tens of millions of dollars in losses. Mr. Eisinger also filed numerous briefs in appeals before the Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Mr. Eisinger served as a federal law clerk for the Honorable James P. Jones, Chief Judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia for two years.
Mr. Eisinger's work with computers and networks includes over twelve years at GE Capital in a variety of positions, including: writing code and supporting mainframe computer applications; computer and network support and trouble-shooting; installation, monitoring, and testing of network hardware and software; managing data center operations, designing and implementing LAN and MAN installations; supporting mainframe and client-server applications; testing and documenting network hardware and infrastructure; designing, implementing, and supporting a full-service Internet gateway; and designing and coordinating the implementation of a computer and information security program.
